I once bought a single rotared helicopter and all it did was spin around, straight up and then crash. This twin rotared helicopter can fly around my room no problem. It reacts to what YOU want it to do, NOT what IT wants to do! It will hover, it will fly and it will take an aweful lot of punishment! I have wooden beams on my ceiling and it has hit those, fallen to the floor and hasn’t had a scratch! It requies 6 batteries in the control and this plugs into the actual helicopter to re-charge it! The re-charge time is between 40-50 minutes. The ONLY small problem with this is the flight time! The maximum flight time for perfect flight is 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes, it will start to fly low! The reason why i say that this is a problem is because you will be having so much fun flying this that you don’t want to stop!

I found the plastic Chinook toy helicopter to be very stable – much more durable than the beginner polystyrene helicopters that can bend out of shape or find themselves urgently in need of superglue when they crash into things. This did have its fair share of crashes. The little plastic ‘wheels’ (they don’t rotate) seem to make a smoother landing than the traditional landing skids which can snap off on a rough landing.
One the one hand, it doesn’t go completely out of control when you first fly it, and you can steer it about more easily than other beginner ‘copters because it’s more stable, having two rotors. There’s more controls than some other helicopters which might take some getting used to.
On the other hand, because it’s so heavy, it only gets about 2 foot off the ground (indoors), which contributes somewhat for it not being damaged yet. (If you’re having problems with a light copter shooting into the ceiling within 3 seconds of lifting off, this may be your solution.) If the batteries need charging, it won’t get off the ground at all, but that’s quickly remedied, as opposed to crashing mid-flight.
Additionally, it requires more charging (manual quotes approx 40 mins) and has less airtime, because it’s got two motors as opposed to one.
There’s very little English on the box (mostly Chinese, Korean or whathaveyou), but there is clearly written English in the manual. The design and finish of the helicopter, which made me choose this over other models by the photo, was excellent. I’m no expert on how realistic it is compared to the real military copter, but it’s very precise and not cheap or tacky looking at all.
