I have this helicopter, though I did not buy it through Amazon, and am very pleased with it. It is my first helicopter so I can’t compare it to any others.
It takes 30 minutes to charge using the supplied mains charger and flies for about 5 minutes. The control system is infra-red, so you do need to keep a line of site from the controller to the helicopter but I have had no problems flying it in the house.
The controller and helicopter seem to be well made. The controller feels solid and the helicopter has taken quite a few bashes and is still not looking any worse for wear after 3 days of regular flying. There is a manual with a full ist of all the components so I guess you could order anything that breaks, though how easy that will be in the UK I don’t know. To aid in the toughness the blades are on hinges so fold back when they hit something.
After 3 days I can fly it comfortably round a 6m x 8m room and land it on 1.5m x 0.5m table. The easiest way to fly it is to hold it level in you right hand and push the left controller to get the helicopter to hover (It tends to fly forward with no other input) – Fly it in a loop round the room and then bring it back to you and catch it in your right hand.
Doing clean takeoffs and landings on the ground is a little trickier but I am starting to get the hang of it. Particularly hard to land it where you want to but again my accuracy is improving. Try and keep it away from walls as it seems to get sucked into them when you hover near.
My 9 and 11 year old daughters have both had a quick go and I guess they will get the hang of it if they persevere.
I am very happy with it. It seems like a good starting helicopter though one that flies for longer would be nice.

This was my second model helicopter, having previously had a single rotor model. Once charged, pushing forward the (left) throttle stick lifts it into the air. However, it might start to rotate at anything from a slow spin to a quite high speed spin. To correct this, the remote control has a small knob in the centre, and with gentle adjustment the spin can be stopped. What I found though, was that as the height at which it was flying was increased or decreased, a spin could return, (probably due to the torque from the motors), and this I didn’t expect from a twin contra rotating blade helicopter. With some experience, it can be controlled reasonably. Similarly, as an earlier correspondent found, the helicopter might have a tendency to only fly forwards, or similarly only backwards, but there are buttons at the top of the control marked F (Forward) and B (Back), to adjust the fore and aft trim. These again are reasonably effective. I have also found tendencies to turn when reversing is applied by pulling down on the control.
All in all, quite a challenging helicopter to fly, but great fun, and well worth the money. Mine too has suffered a number of crash landings from colliding with walls and furniture, but without damage, so it is fairly durable. At this price buy one, and enjoy!! Having said at the beginning of this review, that I had a single rotor helicopter, I should mention I still have it, and it was distributed by the same company. I ordered spare parts through a local model shop; the parts arrived as ordered within a week, and having fitted them, I am flying again.

Hello Julian,
So sorry for not leaving you feedback. The helicopter was bought as a birthday present and was delivered to work where we thoroughly enjoyed flying it and the receipient was extremely pleased with it too.
The delivery was very quick, and it came in excellent condition. Thank you.
Kind regards
Stephanie
