My sons saw this on The Gadget Show and really wanted it for Christmas. They love the fact the back of the lorry opens up with flashing lights and noisy sounds and the helicopter raises up on a platform. It takes a bit of dexterity to fly the helicopter but has been good for them to learn patience in keeping it hovering in the air and landing without a crash. The helicopter itself is a bit fragile though so would not recommend for very young children. My sons are 7 and 10.

Bought my 7 year old son this for Christmas, strictly speaking this toy is for slightly older, I made my own judgement as he is quite sensible and he absolutely loves it. He has had so much fun with it over the last 2 days. Excellent value for money from Amazon. Be careful as the price can double if bought from elsewhere. The plane seems to be very durable which is great as it takes a little getting used to at first and you end up crashing quite a bit. Well recommended toy for all ages, sensible 7 and above.

What a great toy, I bought this to take to the U.S.A. as a Christmas present for my Grandson aged 8.( could not buy this in the states)the package was on the large size, but well packed,I bought 10 rechargable battery’s and an AA charger as the Chopper charges from the control unit,so battery consumtion is quite high, the heli.takes about 10/15 mins. to charge, but when charged it lasts for about 15 mins. flight time.

The control unit, which controles both the truck & heli. takes 6 batteries, is compact and easy for a child to hold & is very responsive, remotly controling the truck including opening & closing the Heli.bay, lights & great sound effects, plus stearing the truck forward and backward, side to side..

The Heli. is about 6in.long which is ideal for indoor use, once stabalised it flyes well though a little practise is needed to go forwards and backward.

All in all a fantastic present for any child o

r his father !!!

Got this because my PicooZ had long since died, and even though I’ve graduate since to a 4-channel co-axial, I missed the little guy. So, got this as a replacement, as I fancied something a little different looking.

As noted by another reviewer, you get no choice in which of the three infrared channels you will receive, which could cause problems if you want to use more than one at a time (is anyone at Amazon listening? Could we have a choice of the A,B or C versions, please?).

It flies great, better than my old PicooZ, but whether this is due to a better design, or simply that my original one got a bit mangled as I learnt, I have no idea: Maybe I had better buy a heli-style one as well, just for comparison purposes, of course (ahem!).

Comes with a spare tail rotor, which is very useful, and small weights, which can be applied to the nose, to increase forward speed (with 2-channel, there is no forward-reverse; only up-down and left-right spin).

Given how cheap these have now become, get one to play with if you’ve not bothered up until now: They will fly in a very small space, and will not damage anything you may hit. Outside is a no-no though, even a small breeze from an open window will put them off-course.

I bought this helicopter for my husbands 82nd. birthday. It is something all the generations are having fun with.

Draw back, every body wants to play at the same time. I had thought of another one or two. I don’t think my lounge could take the crowded airways.

The Helicopter itself is a great toy, but if you want to fly with friends I suggest you go to a proper shop as here you cannot select which channel you want.

‘using infrared triband technology on 3 channels (A, B & C) three helicopters can be flown at the same time!’

Although the controller can be flipped between channels, the Insecta Helicopter is fixed to a preset one.

Therefore this statement is completely false, and the only reason why I would not recommend buying this product here.

This toy was everything I expected and a lot more. From the moment I opened the box over 3 weeks ago it has never not been in use. It has either been in constant use by my friends or myself.

This helicopter has given my grandson (and myself) so much fun – it also gives him great co-ordination, movement and eye-to-hand co-ordination. Fun and educational. This is the second one he has had and has spent many hours playing with it so far
