Last year, Silverlit had brought to all RC fans a major shock with the introduction of their Tandem Z helicopter. A full 3 channels control makes it capable to go forward, left, right, slightly backward. However, a lot of customer were dissatisified with its quality, they said it is too easy to break, and they don’t like the weird front and rear stabilizer attaching to the Tandem Z. Not bought through Amazon, managed to get it £20 on ebay including postage, but have to say this is by far the best mini RC helicopter you can buy!

All the single propellor versions are quite hard to control and are not very realistic.

This version with its double propellors is unbelievably realistic. If you include the trim and leverage control, there are 10 different functions this mini helicopter performs. It is just like flying a real helicopter, real skill is required.

My advice is treat it with caution and learn how to land properly first before trying anything risque, but definitely one of the best things I have bought in a long while!

This was bought for my son for xmas and he as not put it down since opening it. It took a while to get the hang of it with the controls, but once mastered is a great helicopter, but is not a toy for a young child, as the chinook takes off very quickly and can go straight into you, and the blades can hurt you. It is a great present for any teenager, can have hours of fun.

The Syma chinook is an unbelievably cool r/c helicopter. Easy to learn how to fly, looks great and amazing control and stablility. The helicopter is truly 3 channel, giving you full control over forward/back, turning, altitude etc. Capable of hovering; lets you perform realistic lift-offs. You get a satisfyingly powerful hum from the twin motors too!

Battery lasts for a good 10 minutes per charge, controller range is excellent. Overall, great value introductory model that will provide you with hours of fun! :)

The helicopter is fairly hard to control at first and does require a bit of time to get used to. Small movements on the controller are all that’s neccesary. You need to adjust the trim controls (foreward/backward & rotation) to get the helicopter to an equalimbirum state at first but once that is setup the heli is fairly straight foreward to control and good fun whilst it is in the air…which is the problem for me. Actual flying time only seems to last for 3-4 mins after a full charge. After that the heli doesnt have enough power to stay in the air properly. Im not sure if this is normal or if this is dud unit. Im thinking about sending back and getting a replacement.
